Biochemistry, sometimes called biological chemistry, is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms. Biochemistry may be used to study the properties of biological molecules, for a variety of purposes. By controlling information flow through biochemical signaling and the flow of chemical energy through metabolism, biochemical processes give rise to the incredible complexity of life. Much of biochemistry deals with the structures and functions of cellular components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and other biomolecules. Today the main focus of biochemistry is in understanding how biological molecules give rise to the processes that occur within living cells which in turn relates greatly to the study and understanding of whole organisms, meaning that lots of scientists focus on Metabolic Pathway. This course introduces the foundations of biochemistry and provides a variety of medical perspectives

The course will give you an understanding of proteins, the action molecules of the body and how you control the metabolic pathways.
